Choosing spreadsheet sites, sellers, and agents without a scoreboard

Three recurring choices sit around every order. None of them needs a ranking; each needs four or five checks you can run yourself.

Policy examples captured 10 October 2026. Check the live terms for your order; tutorial screens show older interface examples.

Choice one

How to judge a spreadsheet site, this one included

Four checks separate a maintained catalogue from an abandoned one. Do the cards resolve to live listings, or to removed-item pages. Do the facts carry dates, or do they float timelessly until they rot. Do outbound links answer, which you can test in ten seconds on any card. Is there a human to correct it, with a visible address. Run those four against this site too; the about page explains how it tries to pass, and the dated facts are the evidence either way.

A fifth check costs nothing: whether the site can name a situation its recommended agent does not fit. A catalogue that cannot is selling, not guiding.

Let recorded weights overrule guesses

Once items stock in, the warehouse lists their measured weights. Those item measurements improve your estimate. Final parcel weight, packaging, dimensions and the route formula determine the billable weight; the item rows are not the final freight bill. A choice habit worth keeping: re-run the line decision after stock-in, not before.

Choices two and three

How to judge a seller inside the four marketplaces

Storefront age first: years beat months, and a longer trading history gives you more reviews and transactions to examine, but does not guarantee a fair dispute outcome. Buyer photos second: studio images travel between sellers freely, buyer photos can also be reused, so compare details and several dated reviews. Price position third: when five listings share one image, the outlier price in either direction is information. Minimums fourth, on 1688 specifically: a listing priced for shops may require quantities a person does not want.

An eligible return request still depends on seller terms and the applicable exclusions. Seller responsiveness is useful evidence, not a return guarantee. One message before ordering, even a size question, tests it for free.

How to judge an agent, the transferable version

The agent landscape is wider than one name: other shopping agents run the same buy, inspect, and forward loop with different fee structures, storage windows, and support hours, and the same four checks grade all of them. Read the inspection rules for what they exclude, run the estimator for floors and liquid rules, find the support hours in their time zone, and read the manual-order waiver. An agent that publishes all four plainly, as this one does, is testable; one that publishes none of them is asking for trust it has not earned. Every agent misfits someone, which is why this site documents the misfits rather than hiding them.

Notes and remarks, the small habits

Three habits close most gaps that choice cannot: a remark on every order stating what matters about it, a screenshot of every quote at the moment you accept it, and a check of tracking events weekly rather than hourly. Boring, cheap, and they turn disputes from memory contests into document reviews.

A shortlist you can actually compare

Write down the product URL, seller name, selected size, unit price, domestic freight, quantity and your must-have detail for each candidate. Remove an item if the seller cannot identify its size chart or if shipping eligibility is uncertain.

Compare other agents on the same order

Shopping agents such as Superbuy and CSSBuy provide alternative purchasing and forwarding services. Compare their current terms using the same destination, goods type, parcel dimensions and payment method. Check total payment cost, warehouse inspection scope, support hours, route restrictions and the refund process. A favourable headline fee alone does not establish the better fit.

For a first order, use a manageable quantity and document what was promised. A successful previous order or community recommendation does not guarantee a later seller batch.
